Hello all this is a plea !
I have a Fiat Bravo and it failed the MOT I need to get it back on the road but of course its going to cost loads here are the jobs
1. Front Sub-Frame need replacing - I have bought one - garage going to charge £120 to fit
2. Passenger Side Rear Radius Arm - I have one - garage going to charge £120 to fit
3. Front roll bar rubber bush - going to get some and get them fitted at the same time as front frame.
4. All cills need welding - I can get cills apparently £10 each - but I need someone to weld them on.
5. Front brakes are juddering - could be disk or pads or caliper sticking
Thats mainly it.... Im near Blackburn so if you can help or do the work cheap and are willing to let me pay bit at a time then I can get my car on the road and back to work !
I do loads of good, im a volunteer at the local church and the local radio station and I ask for nothing in return, but now I need help
Im in an IVA and finding that hard too im in the final year of that
PLEASE HELP ! I know theres garages around where you help the mechanic but I don;t think theres any round here.

Sorry m8, sounds like a write off. fill it with as much metal as you can and put it over a weigh bridge. Take that and whatever money you have for repairs and search ebay/local supermarkets/ad trader/gumtree for something local with MOT and TAX.0

+1
Really not worth repairing.0 -
see i sold my other car for 250 and got this for 300 so i only spent 50 on it really, with this car i know what the problems are and once repaired thats it, i could get another car and have same or more problems on it.0

Sorry but it's not worth repairing. Take the arm back to the shop, cash in the tax, and get a breaker to collect it, you could get £50-£100 for the car depending on the current scrap metal price. Skoda felicia's are usually ultra reliable, and ultra cheap to insure. You should be able to get one of those for £3-400. I have one for sale v soon but I'm in Bristol. Not for sale for a few weeks at least. No reliance should be placed on the above.0

By my working they are charging 3 hours per job? I think you need to find another garage.0 -
Just scrap it, at the end of the day, it is a Fiat, not worth spending money on.0

oh dear, firstly find yourself a different garage their charging you around 3 hours work per item. as for welding well, you are talking money there, two sills, fitted i'd estimate £90-£110 even more possibly.
i'd go for the scrap option, weigh it in with some scrap metal laying around, it wouldnt harm the car if the seats got soaking because you left the windows open in the rain either its guna be scrapped dont forget;).0 -
The OP could of course ask the " Church " for a contribution, trust me, they ain't short of a few bob..;)0

As already said, don throw good money at it. Weigh it in. Unless the price has dropped drasticaly in th past 3wks you should get about £100/£115 for it
MAKE SURE YOU GET AN END OF LIFE CERT AND REMOVE ANY UNUSED TAXBe Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0 -
