Will Writing Advice

It's not morbid at all. If you look at the Probate Registry website (and sorry but I'm too tired to google for it tonight, but it's the .gov.uk one you want) they'll explain all the what ifs. What happens if the executor dies before and the will hasn't been changed.
Sorry, this is all very morbid
Basically someone else can come forward and execute the will, usually someone with an interest.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
The other sensible thing to do, along with writing your Will is to store alongside it a list of all your assets (savings accounts, bank accounts, pension provider, premium bond holder number, house & car insurers, etc.etc. together with account numbers and addresses of the contacts and update the list regularly. This will save your Executors a lot of hunting around and ensure that no assets are overlooked when it comes to sorting out your affairs.
If you live on your own, you can also leave a sealed envelope somewhere visible in your home marked "To whom it may concern - To be opened in the event of my death ". Inside, leave details of where your Will is stored, the names and contact numbers of your Executors, and any specific instructions for your funeral, i.e. whether you want to be buried or cremated.0
