Can you claim Housing and council tax benefit while you are working and on disability? thought would ask here before I apply i earn after tax and insurance £200 a week and my rent is £550 a month

If you have a low income anyone can apply for HB/CTB. I'm assuming it's a private rent you need to apply for LHA https://lha-direct.voa.gov.uk/Secure/Default.aspx

As far as I know, the receipt of DLA will not influence the calculation, it's not means tested, but your income will be.

By the sounds of it, you earn around 12k. Unless you are classed as severely disabled, you will be entitled to a shared accommodation rate if you are under the age of 25 (will increase to 35 in the future) or 1 bedroom property if aged 25 or over and/or with a severe disablement.

If you live on your own, you'll be entitled to a 25% single adult deduction on your CT at the very least.
