More little ones for the kids: boxes of fancy pencil sharpeners (globe of the world etc) and fancy looking erasers. These are in boxes marked around 90p or so (can't remember exactly - but certainly less than £1 each). The SELs vary from 97p for the erasers to £1.08 and £1.17 for the sharpeners and they all scan at the higher prices. They are each on blue and red or mauve and red cards and are branded MAPED - ZENOA and are with the stationery stuff.

Also, the Cars selection boxes had 2 SELs and 2 displays on different shelves.- one for Buy 2 for £3 and the other Bogof. The Bogof sel exp 7/11 - although the other similar section boxes run on until 14/11 so I can see how the staff got confused. They go through @ 2 for £3. (This is a similar error to the Cadbury 'Bubbly' where just one type expired earlier than all the others in the range.) If you are really lucky , you'll get a refund of the full £2.29 per box and they'll forget you've already had the 2 for £3 discount - I got 4 boxes and they actually paid me an extra £3.16 to take them away)

Cs Said Oh It Must Be The Smaller Size Thats On Offer.. I Pointed Out The White Sel To Her And Said That This Wasnt An Offer (the Other Flavours Had Yellow £2.99 Sels )
She Then Kept Saying, No Its The Smaller Chickens Not Your One ! I Said The Sel Says 1.5kg And So Does My Chicken So It Has To Be A R&r. She Then Studied The Bar Codes And Said They Were Different And That I Cant Have An R&r. I Stood My Ground And Replied .. Since When Do Customers Go Around Checking Barcodes Against Food, The Sel Clearly Says Garlic And Lemon Chicken 1.5kg And So Does Mine !!! Another Sales Asst Who Was Putting Out Yet More Of Them Told Her That I Was Right !!! Has Anyone Else Had This Happen

There's a per kilo price promo on vegitarian edam right now. It's from £4.xx per kilo to £3.59 per kilo.

Edam has a long shelf life and there were lots of £4.xx ones in Great Yarmouth last night.

My family and I were followed around the store by the least inconspicuous store defective on the planet. Actually, he probably isn't, his counterpart at the same store is. I am wraking my brains to think why they bother. Is he so useless that he didn't see me pick up this Edam, study the price and then put three in the trolley? What did he hope to do anyway?

This defective is so useless, it's comical. We had to exchange a mobile phone at the Electrical desk and he "inconspiculously" ducked into the store room behind it and then spend the next 10 minutes holding the door open just a tiny bit, watching us with the assistant whilst she exchanged the phone.

If you're reading this, Mr Defective, you need to realise that I'm a lot more alert and clued up than you give me credit for.

This store is getting much better at stopping the mispricing these days - coupled with the fact that they like to follow us around the store with overweight, undertrained and, frankly, pointless defectives, we only bother to use this store when we're passing or it suits us to waste their time.

Anyway, fill your boots (and trolleys) with Edam for the second time this year.

Got my first R+R on splinter cell on the 360. On the shelf it was £39.xx which is what it scanned at but on a little stand near the checkout its was £37.xx so i got a full R+R

The books had stickers on them saying £12.97 the SEL was £12.96 but i got charged the SEL not the sticker price so no R+R

Smirnoff Ice 12 x 275ml bottles
Grolsch 20 x 300ml bottles
Stella Artois 20 X 284ml Bottles
Becks Bier 20 x 275ml Bottles

Are all currently on at 2 for £18

While many stores have out of date SELs, others have up to date labels and signs.

Carlsberg Export 20 x 300ml is also currently at £10.98, so there is no R&R on this if you see an out of date SEL with this price on.
