bt 205 router, ethernet to usb prob

originally using bt 330 modem given bt 105 for which i got the drivers off bt cd this resulted in a speed increase from 512kb to 2.2 mb.have now been given a bt 205 router and it is my understanding that by using a ethernet connection drivers are not needed. the prob is i have no ethernet connection so would the 205 work using an adapter to usb hopefully leading to increase in speed and security. thank for any answers
Regards

Mark

You might want to read this. It's a bit jokey but the info appears sound. It does mention that it's a good idea to get a network card (pennies) to save yourself a lot of hassle, but goes on to show you how to side step the issue of it turning off every so often.
