Settling Credit Card Balance

Well thank you for all your comments, i would however refrain from making certain comments without knowing the facts.
I took out the credit card as my Dad had a mental breakdown after losing his business of 32 years and my mum is now his carer but they where in an extremely volatile situation financially and we are not blessed with lots of money, i have worked since i left school when i was 16 and never asked for hand outs.
The money was used for many things like food, bills and i helped with the mortgage as well and i have actually managed to get this money from another relative to help to pay it off once and for all as i havent been able to save enough myself other the last 2 years only paying the minimum amount every month, so for those who gave me advice without judgement then a BIG thank you its very much appreciated and for those who didn't, i hope your morale high ground is good for you.0 -
Funny you talk about a 'morale high ground' when you want to try and get out of paying money you owe.
Perhaps you should have a look around on the posts people have made on here in the past and you will see there are a lot of people in very serious financial hardship, about to loose their homes and who are some what suicidal. I am not unsympathetic to your situation, having had mental ilness in my family, i have some idea of what its like. But asking questions like the one you did without explaining the reason for asking is provoking reactions such as the ones you got. Unfortunately it infuriates people.0
