Unusual problem with seller not responding

I bought five items from a seller last Friday and immediately requested an invoice as they offered a postal discount for multiple items.
The seller (Long time registered business seller [from Germany] with > 6000 +ve feedback [only negative seems to be from one trigger happy buyer]) has still not responded despite a reminder email.
I noticed that he has done something I've never seen before which is to not specify the postage in the 'automatic' section (It's listed in the text) so that I could fill in the details myself. I'm not inclined, however, to pay for something from a business seller who promised dispatch within two business days but does not respond for three.
Any ideas as to the best way to handle this situation. I don't want to open a case as the seller may have a genuine reason for not responding (illness or computer malfunction) but I don't want to end up with a non performing seller hit.
I'm not in any great hurry for the items.

I think if it were me in your shoes, I'd be tempted to look in the listings again and see how many days they allow for payment - most sellers will list please pay within 3 days or 5 days etc. and will specify that they'll post within x number of days from recieving cleared payment.
If the number of days the seller allows for payment have passed, then opening a case may be your best option as then ebay will get in touch with them and they will have something like 10 days in which to respond, and you can close it amicably if/when they do respond.0 -
First of all, you have to pay. No dispute can be raised until you do. If you are reluctant, though you shouldn't be as you are covered by paypal, just pay what's on the invoice. Then wait to see what the seller does.0

I was bidding on two items from the same seller on the 21st. Both items were similar. The first one I left and it sold for a good price. The 2nd one I won for a quid. I've contacted them asking when to collect (as its local) and had no reply. Monday morning I requested their details from ebay and phoned them several times this week and got no reply. I've even tried phoning at various times incase they work funny hours.
This morning I notice that someone has left pos feedback for the item I got outbid on, so I contacted the buyer and they said the seller was very helpful etc... So I'm guessing as I won my item for 99p they are hiding their head in the sand cos they wont let it go for that price lol.
Wonder if I neg them they will get in touch...0 -

It is a rare seller that mentions how quickly they want to be paid. Since ebay allow 4 days even before an nPB can be started there is no point in a seller making up their own rules.
Also as has been said as the buyer has not paid what sort of case can be opened?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Not in my experience!
I know they cannot enforce it but that doesn't stop them from trying it on.
Rather like the sellers who state that they are not responsible for the non delivery of uninsured items. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
There seems to be a bug relating to the cost of postage allowing buyers to choose £0 postage, or something like that.
There have been complaints from sellers on the main eBay board.
Maybe this applies?0 -
