Direct debit switching

Hi sorry if this has been asked before. I am planning on opening a new current acc with my salary being paid in and want my direct debits to come out of it, however I want to switch my personal dds from a joint acc so don't want all of them switched is it possible to manually switch and still get the benefits (applying for coop) or alternatively just switch some with the switching service?

Not exactly sure of the process used by the Co-op but when I switched to First Direct they sent me a list of Direct Debits and standing orders that my previous bank had supplied and I had the choice of which ones I wanted to switch.

Probably best to call them and ask to be sure.
