Oh Yes I 100% remember now. That would certainly be something to look forward to and how fabulous for the family to be able to go back. We all only live once don't we and life is all about the experience
Seems funny talking on here about the "kids" they are growing into young people so fast with Abbie soon to be driving add to that getting engaged and nearly a 16th for your older boy (!) or is it that we've been on here too long lol.
How old is KK now (if you don't mind me asking?)

Hi everyone
sorry for slacking
still busy tho, still saving away so far I have £6400.04 in the home improvement fund.
Booked Florida got a great deal for us and abbie and her fiancée is joining us a week later. If holiday needs to get moved then they have the flexibility to move it as many times as we want within 2 years of when our holiday starts, will need to look for travel insurance tho and I've secured my universal tickets now as it was only £25 each to secure them and I'll just pay a little every month but we don't go til August 2022 so hopefully everything will die down then regarding COVID-19. Boys are already saving their pennies in their tins..........so proud of them xx
I volunteer at our local community centre as a committee member, in fact I'm the secretary so quite a big job but for the last year there is a woman who is hell bent on making everyone's lives miserable in all association related topics, she's tied us up with numerous complaints, refuses to attend meeting but is one of those ones who date and time everything. she's accursing me of bullying cause I asked her if she would be attending meetings now that the centre is reopening and I get accused of harassment. I thinking of seriously stepping down as it's not fun anymore, I think she's seriously peed off with me because I took over her role of admin for the food larder as she was struggling to deal with 45 families, I ended up being responsible for 218 families a week for getting food parcels which is very stressful but I managed it and I think that flung her a bit as I don't think she was expecting it from me tbh.
Still sorting out through my grans stuff slowly but surely, surveyor is out tomorrow between 10am and 12.30pm.NEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.052 -

Hello everyone
As usual just been so busy between working, family, covid jags, injury and funerals (not my grans) its been a busy weeks as usual plus I'm undertaking a mental health course as well just for fun lol
Just off the phone to the house insurers, they wanted £262.90 but on the comparison site I was getting quotes for £204 so a big difference, gave my current insurer a call and they've priced matched it as I pay in full every year. Why couldn't they have given me that to begin with?? That's a saving of £58 a year so that's a win for me
Still plodding on knee is holding up will be back at the gym tonight after it gave way at the weekend hopefully it holds up.
Need to check the finances not sure where I am sitting exactly as have taken my eye off the ball. back later xxNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.052 -
Well the spending of money has begun
So far I've purchased our new tv and fireplace for the media wall. Media wall is being done by a joiner friend on the 25th and 26th so the fireplace and sound bar arrived tomorrow and the TV arrives Saturday and I've bought the additional cables for moving the sky box, the special shelving unit for the sky box so we can get it hidden behind the tv.
So far I've spent:
£999 on the TV but got it price matched so £60 is being refunded and I'll get £83 on topcashback
£314 as got £15 off my first order at wayfair
£140 on the soundbar and all the cabling and shelving unit
It'll be £400 for the wall to be built this includes the materials and he will be fitting my three new doors so defo a bargain as one trader quoted me £2K for a media wall........not a chance. Our joiner friend is great but its just catching him when he's available.
I've still to source new doors need to go to the shop I've already priced them online but want to see them first before I order them. They come in at £300
Had my radiators measured up as I want the living room ones to be double radiators and mines are different ones and I want them to match.......might as well whilst I'm spending the money lol xx
I have £7200 in the bank but I have 4 weeks to save save save and I have my final payment from the college due in the middle of July so I'm hoping it covers all the little extras that creep in whilst your renovating a rooms.
Tonight it is our massive food shop, it's been 8 weeks since we did our big shop it's defo saved us money in the long run, hubby fixing MIL's car but I'm taking the eldest son with us so I have someone to help me.
