    morning

wee mindee has slept in so just waiting for them to turn up.

rounded down my account for holiday spends and we are sitting at £1,030.01 woo hoo  not sure what my target is tho.  Just as much as I can until we find out what's happening with this holiday.  some of that was money from PA, love free money

both boys passports are now away thank goodness now its just a waiting game but we have 9 weeks until we might be going on holiday.

Todays mission is to get the ironing pile sorted as it's creeping up again.

Been trying to delay the inevitable food shop til Saturday but not sure we will make it as my food supply is starting to run pretty low in the freezer department so might need to go and do one tonight. checked the cupboard only really need white sauce for lasagna and noodle packs for when the boys want something quick to eat.  Got pasta coming out the ears tho....do you think it breeds in the cupboards

I think it's looking more and more likely that holidays will be going ahead in the next few weeks.  We are due to go to Ibiza on 20 August and I'm keeping everything crossed as it's for my very big birthday. If it doesn't happen we will rebook for Lanzarote in October. At least you'll have the money in place ready.  It's weird because for me the best part of a holiday is the actual build up to it and I just daren't start looking forward to it.  Part of me wanted the government to say no foreign travel this year then at least we'd know where we stood and could rebook for next year.

I definitely think pasta breeds, I thought I had half a packet of spaghetti in the back of the cupboard and it was actually 4 packets (although DD had unknowingly bought a couple of packs because she thought we didn't have any).

We are supposed to be going 8th August, I'm trying not to get too hopeful but just need to get the essentials in just in case we do get the go ahead.  I've bought the boys and hubby their trainers in the Nike sale got 30% off all of them which most of them were in the sale so saved a fair bit.  I normally get the boys a new outfit travelling and I have my eye on some in very so have saved them and will see if they reduce in price.  Still refusing to pay full price for anything.  Plus passports so if we do get to go we will just make do with our summer clothes we have and get some new stuff whilst we are out there as Turkey is great for clothes shopping esp for the boys and hubby.

If the worst happens and we reschedule we will probably try for October, we've booked a villa this year, never had one before must have known this was happening lol so if KK doesn't want to go out then theres a pool there as he's very anxious about going outside except my back door the poor wee soul xx

You will love a villa. We always used to book them but tend to go for hotels now so there is help in reception should Mr SA have a fall, otherwise it would be a villa for sure 👍

I'm supposed to be going on holiday in 3 weeks and haven't heard a peep about it being cancelled/ going ahead. Either way, we aren't going. We decided that a while ago. But I just wish I knew whether they were cancelling it or letting it go ahead. If it goes ahead then we'll just postpone our trip until next year, since we've paid it all in full. I'm hoping for a refund because of the uncertainty of travel in the future. I'd rather feel secure about the situation before committing to a future holiday.

Glad to see your holiday fund strengthening by the day :) You're always well prepared for these events!

It’s funny how we are all so different.
I personally wouldn’t be comfortable going away in a couple of months.
Maybe as I am older & a bit of a worrier.
It wouldent do if we are all the same. 😊. Xx

We are meant to be going to Fethiye, we shall see.

I think I would prefer for it to be rescheduled but our travel insurance won't cover it if it is cancelled but I could claim back on my credit card and perhaps reschedule it for October.

It's just a waiting game, I think because we are in a villa I'm ok with going there, if it were a hotel I would definitely be wishing for it to be cancelled.
