    Afternoon :hello:

Schools are back hurrah :T Kk didn't know what hit him when I got him up early as he's been sleeping in til 10am during the February break

So it's back to normal all the kids who have had chickenpox are all better now so it's on with the show as usual working 7.30am til 6pm tonight so a long shift

Sent £5.58 towards the barclaycard still on track to getting it under the £3k mark by the end of the month. need to be careful with pennies as mortgage is due next Thursday and I always get paid on a Fridays :rotfl: but tax credits are in on Wednesday so that can act as a wee buffer til the Friday :D plus hubby gets paid on 28th as well so I should be ok

Took Kk to school dropped a black bag of stuff for the charity box at the school, set up playgroup £3 only 14 kids attended actually glad for
    A quiet session :D

Finally filled out a funding application for a years worth of letting fees so that's been posted will find out on 31st march if we have been successful if not we it's not the end of the world but would be very helpful.

Also managed to photocopy the minutes of the lastest community association meeting and put them in everyone's dockets all 30 of them  but that's another job out the way

Have the nurseries run today to two different ones, was going to powerwalk to a Hermes drop off point to return a parcel to Amazon for hubby but it's miserable here and don't fancy being soaked so that will be a job for tomorrow :D

Plans for today is to get the ironing pile out the way and get another washing on as the washing baskets seem to be breeding :rotfl: will do that when the afterschoolers are here

    Hey Abba,

Just had a quick read thru your post, sounds like you've been doing well and working hard to get that debt down, well done you.

I've just started using the fourms even though I've been signed up for over a year! I'm planning on getting a deposit up to get back on the property ladder but always hard with paying a rent. There's also the balance of paying of my credit card (now all on 0%) or building up my deposit.

Any tips are things you found helpful on your journey?
I've recorded all my in and outgoing and hope to check it each week or so hoping this will help me stay on track

    Hi soupy600

It depends on how much you owe on the credit cards as most mortgage places don't take into account the minimum payments the take a percentage I think it can be as high as 10% -20% of your balance which I sent shocking tbh

    My tips would be :

Downgrade your supermarket I used to shop in Tesco and Asda all the time and now i shop in lidl /Aldi and spend £250 a month on food for 5 people

    Sign up to cashback sites

Sign up to survey sites if you haven't already done so if you want a referral give me a shout

Sell anything you no longer use, I sell majority of my stuff on Facebook marketplace no fees as well as gumtree then a last resort would be ebay as I hate paying fees (anything I sold got split down the middle and half sent to my account)

Not sure they still do the help to buy account where the government give you a percentage of what you have saved on completion of you buying a property but this only applies if you've never bought a house before as my hubby qualified for one but I didn't due to me having bought a house 10 years prior :(

I do avon on the side as well as my full time childminding business so I'm very busy so perhaps a little job on the side to help build extra pennies

I'm sure the other guys who comment on here can also provide helpdful tips as they are a very friendly bunch xx

    Hi Abba,

    Thanks for the tips,

I've a lidl right round the corner and do use it a lot. Also use quidco for cash back but always seem to forget about it until Christmas comes round lol

As for survey sites any you recommend? and send on the referral please. I've just started using swagbuck's just trying to figure it all out at the moment.

Next up is selling anything I no long need lol

The help to buy ISA is still running but as I've owned before I can't get one even with not getting the government help :(.

I've just recently applied for a stewarding causal job so hopeful that works out and brings in some extra cash. Sounds like I'm on the right track which is always helpful.

    Cheers for the feed back
