Bank not responding to letters!

As this is a one off and not a regular occurrence you'll almost certainley be refunded especially when they're made aware of ignoring four letters which they can look into and give you an official complaint reference for.

As for the FOS, the bank has nothing to answer to and the the FOS would ignore it as they're not there to deal with customer service issues which yours is regarding the letters. It's bad customer service to ignore a request (plead) as yours is, but the bank hasn't actually done anything wrong (with regard to charges) apart from not answer your correspondence yet.
Have you actually made an official complaint about anything or just sent request letters ?

Thank you this is very useful and once again shows us that the bank were just trying to fob us off!! Will try this, I know we may not get the money back but hopefully they will listen to our plees that £50 in charges is slightly excessive for 67p overdrawn!
