New House - got keys friday.
Got a stair lift in it!!! It's a stannah 300. Rang the company who sold it and because it was installed over 2 years ago (old lady was in NH for 2 years then died) they won't buy back.
Any ideas of how to sell on?
Thanks:j

I have a friend who's wife died. He sold their stairlift on Ebay!0

A card in a shop window, local houses may be the same layout so the stairlift will fit.
I had the same problem when moving here, we were going to get buttons for it, in the end decided it wasn't particularly in the way so may as well keep it. Who knows, i may need it one day or if i were to sell the house the buyer may need one.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Make sure the buyer is going to use it on the same side of the stairs as you have it.
Stairlifts are fitted with sensors which stop the lift if anything gets caught between the footplate and the stairs but these are only on the "up" side. A few years ago a toddler was killed after his head was trapped by the footplate of a stairlift that had been bought second-hand and fitted to the other side of the stairs - http://sparedolphin.blogspot.com/2007/07/six-year-old-dies-in-tragic-stairlift.html0 -

Why don't you see if a charity knows of anyone in need and give it to them for free.0
