Disabled/Blue Badge parking

Hi
You need to change your "ten top parking did you knows" in relation to disabled parking. Blue badge holders can't always park for free in pay & display or council car parks, even in diabled space. MANY councils (Cornwall for example) only allow free diabled parking if you get your road fund liscence paid for you, you need to be in receipt of a particular benefit. Stupid really, you can't park in the council car park BUT you can go out and park in the street, obvoioulsy more worried about raising revenue than traffic flow or helping disabled.

Quite right there, I know a few councils where BB holders are not exempt from charges in off street car parks.
Having a BB is not free parking everywhere so it pays to check before you park.
I suppose their arguement there could be if you can park off street away from where you want to be then you dont really need a BB, where as with a BB you can park on DY,s in most town centres.You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0
