Parking fine - can I dispute

Hiya - Can anyone give me a bit of advice please. I parked in my local car park and put £1.80 in the machine, parking is 1p per minute so I obviously thought I had 3 hours. When I returned I had a ticket even though I was early getting back to the car when I looked at my ticket it had the £1.80 on it but the expiry time was 100 mins after I parked (I was back to the car 10mins after this). I stupidly had not looked at the time on the ticket as I had seen my money credit on the machine before it printed the ticket. I rang the car parking people who said in May it was changed from an all day car park to a max 100 mins (it says so in small writing where the ticket machine is). Is it worth me trying to dispute this??? Thanks

What kind of ticket is it ? is it a penalty charge notice ? or excess charge notice ? penalty charges can be appealed on certain grounds, excess charge notices are normally a day out at the local magistrates court if you want to appeal that.
Pop over to pepipoo and start a thread on the parking formum and show pictures of the signs and of your ticket if its a pcn, if its a ecn then appeals are risky general advice is to pay them. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
Inadequate signage; make complaint about this.If it moves; sue it!0
