help with budget

1,100 mortgage
400 medical fees
125 council taxes
300 groceries
100 utilities (hey this is england and the houses are not very energy efficient)
100 household supplies (toilet paper, dishes (they break with kids) cleaning products..
100 clothes (thats shopping at thrift stores for me and the kids.. and buying the hubby some good suits.)
250 petrol
100 for car insurance, and mots, and maintence
so that equals £2,525 without blinking my eyes twice..
okay i do not pay a mortgage at the moment! but how can i save? and am i paying to much
400 medical fees

no that is in order to keep my husband working as a doctor. Its his medical insurance if anyone tries to sue him.. ectr ectr.0

Imasaver - try using the spreadsheet in my sig for logging normal spending and see if you can cut back?
You can customise it to suit your bills etc - PM me if you want a copy of my customised 'joint account' one.
You can also join the Grocery Challange on the Old Style board - I found this helped me enormously, as well as joining Quidco.com and pigsback.co.uk. These last 2 have threads on the Freebies board.
