Cahoot account transactions messed up?

I wondered if anyone else here was with Cahoot and have logged in this evening?
I just wondered if it was my account or all of them but the transactions are all showing as things like:
PURCHASE IN BRANCHES -PCAS
BILL PAYMENT - FOREIGN
They don't show any details of the transaction or anything just the above. I'm guessing it's a system problem as I do recognise the amounts and where they went so hoped it wasn't my account being hacked or anything.
Just thought I'd found out if anyone else here used Cahoot (or other Santander online accounts?) and had the same thing?

Yes, just logged in to Cahoot and got those transaction descriptions. I also got "RECEPTION MANAGEMENT" for 2 deposits (one from another non-Cahoot account, 1 a refund from an energy company).
The site was pretty slow to log me in as well, and to update each page.
It has also changed the transaction description for older transactions, which were fine a few days ago.2012 Wins: Samsung Galaxy Note, AGC Pea Coat (from Looper film), various chocolate bars
2010 Wins: 4 Flake lipsticks (!) and a rubbish book0 -
Thanks for confirming that lutralutra (Scientific name for a European Otter?
) I'm glad I'm not going mad and it's a weird system thing. I had the 'RECEPTION' one too and my interest in my account showed as NORMAL RECURRING SETTLEMENT V.0
I'm guessing it's their internal terminology not meant for the customers to see...0 -
I am also a cahoot customer and can confirm that I have encountered the same unusual terminology on my account. I got "PURCHASE IN BRANCHES -PCAS" for a cahoot debit card payment, and "RECEPTION MANAGEMENT" for a BACS transfer made into my account.0

They are aware of the problem and hopefully will soon sort it out :undecided".....where it is corrupt, purge it....."0

The problems seem to stem from a systems upgrade they did on 7th Sept to "improve" their services.
As a result they managed to lose a direct debit of mine to my credit card that has been paid successfully for 3+ years. Credit card min payment was not made in Sept as Cahoot refused it saying DD didnt exist yet it has now been paid in Oct with no changes from me!
The transaction details would be really useful if it actually showed you the full information not just cutting it off midway throughRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
I have the same descriptions, one of many things that do not seem to work any more at cahoot. I have noticed recently the current balance does not work. I track what I spend my money on and just recently the balance on my spreadsheet does not match the online balance. However, the end of month statement normally works.
You have got to question the quality of the code in their upgrade and whether anyone tested it?0 -
Same with me. I agree with the sentiment that Cahoot has got much worse of late. Now considering the dreaded switching of bank accounts. First Direct sounds good.0

My December statement from Santander contains a 25 pence credit described as "Normal Recurring Settlement V.01".
I've spoken to Santander and they don't know what this is and also claim to be unable to trace deposits into accounts.
This thread is the only result for a Google search on "Normal Recurring Settlement"
Any ideas?

On mine that equated to the monthly interest as it had the tax deducted alongside it. I think that's what it is likely to be, not sure why they don't know what it is.0
