Waiting for static.ak.fbcdn.net???

Several times this evening I've gone into a thread, got as far as the first post and been left hanging. Bar at bottom of screen shows "waiting for static.ak.fbcdn.net". This eventually disappears, followed by a quick 'facebook' reference and then the rest of the thread opens up.
I've never had this before and am not on facebook, so wondered what this is all about

Thanks for link. I did search, but the wording 'static.ak.fbcdn.net' didn't appear in this linked post so it didn't come up in the search.
I've not been bothered with this before, but I'm not usually on line at this time of evening, so possibly this is the reason.
