Tax credits and pay rise

have just applied for tax credits for the first time and have recieved my award notice.they have based their calculations on my p45 from last year which shows £17674 for april 09-10.

have just recieved a letter from work saying my salary has been increased to £18038 per anum effective from 1st feb 2010 and i have received my backdated wages (around £400 after tax)

now im in a real pickle. does this mean my award is wrong now?

Although the £400 was for work done in the last tax year you had not been paid it by the end of the last tax year, so it does not affect the award. It will be included in next years P60 as earnings in 2010-2011.
