  • Do bear in mind that what MSE means is that a cheaper tariff has been withdrawn, than the now current online tariff from Eon, Save Online 4 is not as discounted as v3 of that tariff, not that Eon have increased their unit rate costs. If you check the media no power company has put it's prices up recently, apart from EDF, and that increase did not affect all customers.

The article is wrong it says

"It has today pulled what was the top standard tariff among the major suppliers"

This isn't right as the very next line says it is an online tariff. Most suppliers have done this, would it be preferable for them to shave something off the most competitive deals (typically £2-300 cheaper than the standard tariff) or increase the standard prices most people are on?

    Hi guys,

Just to clarify Savonline 3 has ended and E.ON have now launched SaveOnline 4.

As davidgmmafan has said, this is an online tariff as you have to manage your account online and meet the requested criteria.

  • Can anyone help? I signed up for the Saveonline3 tariff via a comparison site a couple of weeks ago & have a welcome letter from EOn dated 24th Oct. Apparently I have a 14 day cooling off period then my gas/elec will be moved to EOn.. If the tariff has been withdrawn will I still be on it or will I be transferred to SaveOnline 4?
  • No you wont be put on saveol4, if you signed upto saveol3 you will be on that tariff when supply goes live with Eon
