I use to have an account with the co-operative bank which i closed at the begining of august 2010. On the 27th june 2010 i made a debit card payment over the phone to vodafone to pay my bill this was auth and i assumed everything was paid for. two weeks ago i received a phone call from vodafone saying my bank had issued a call back charge on the 31st aug 2010 for that payment. So i rang the banks cutomer services and asked why they had asked for this call back charge. They looked on my old account and they said no such call back charge had been requested as they could not issue them on debit card payments.
I related this back to vodafone but they insisted that my old bank did issue the call back charge?
so today 26/10/2010 i went back into my old bank and spoke to customer services again this time i was getting a different story. They now say that the payment didnt even leave my account in the first place the auth code is showing on the system but no sale voucher/invoice had been actioned from vodafone.
i am now non the wiser very confused and vodafone have given me a week to sort this out and find out were the money has gone to or they will disconect my phone
please help

What does your bank statement say?
If the payment is on you bank statement you can send it (copy) to vodaphone as proof of payment.
If it isn't on your statement then you haven't paid it.0
