My laptop is about 4 yrs old and I'm only getting about 15 mins from a full charge. i know i can just use it plugged in all the time but I've been costing a new battery and its a minefield. There are so many different types and i cant seem to find one that matches my model exactly. Its a vaio VGN-NR11S/S. firstly, does it have to be an exact match & second, where can I get one thats not too expensive. I've seen batteries up to £120. I cant afford that.

Hi Katykat,
Ideally you should replace like with like ie Sony with Sony but there are compatible batteries available which have been designed to be direct replacements for originals. For example for your Sony laptop the battery shown in the attached link is a compatible model:

£41.59 which includes a 3 year warranty0 -

That looks good, batteries that have issues with lifespan tend to be nickel cadmium, so that shouldnt get a memory issue either0 -
Thanks for that.:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0
