New White Plastic Toilet Seat.

Hi All,

Does anyone know where I can buy the cheapest possible white plastic toilet seat that will fit a modern toilet? Am I right to assume they are universal? My first guess would bve "Wilkinsons" perhaps? As only the hinges that attach the plastic to the tiolet bowl are snapped, can I just replace them or does it have to be the whole thing?

Prompt advice would be appreciated as I'm having to hover every time I go now!!!:mad:

Do you mean the long plastic screws that go throught the seat then through the back of the bowl? You can get them in diy shops, don't know the price, it's been a while since I bought any.

Hi Hardpressed, unfortunately no, it's not just the screws, but the whole hinge mechanisim. Thank you all for your suggestions, will start by looking in Wilk's on the way home.

DON'T buy Tesco Value one. Mine has never fitted properly, the screws won't do up tight enough and it slides around when you sit on it. Not good after a few beers!

You can buy the little plastic hinge things separately - don't think you need a whole seat if it's ok this kind of thing :
