hi all
i have a loan with sainsburys for which i received a statement recently,on the opening balance(2yrs ago) i noticed 3 asterisks, which apparently means"inclusive of loan insurance where applicable". does this mean they have automatically added it,although i specifically asked for it not to be ???. i guess i should phone them to find out,or would a letter be better ????? any advice would be very gratefully received.
cheers mark

Can you remember exactly how much you borrowed? If so, should be easy to tell if you have PPI.
Eg. borrowed £2000, opening balance £2000, no PPI
borrowed £2000, opening balance >£2000, PPI added
Hope it's that simple! Are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation? :cool:0 -

Yes if you call them, they'll tell you if there's PPI on there. Are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation? :cool:0

OMG! I think I'll assume it was an untrained staff member rather than a deliberate lie. Anything else is just too depressing.
