Any value in an old cheque?

I have two cheques which I inherited - one is for $82.49 from Pleasant Valley Wine Company and issued in 1898 and the other for 56 pounds, seven and eight pence from 1935 issued by NatWest...is there anything I can do with these other than stick them in a frame for display purposes?

Banks usually take cheques up to 6 months old, BUT it's their discretion. Cheques are valid legally for 6 years. So, unfortunately your's are no good except for wall hanging! Sorry!0

Did Natwest (as such) exist in 1935?0

I was still getting pound notes in, on the odd, occasion, when I last worked on a Nat West counter. Even saw some old handwritten ledgers, but was never presented with a cheque that old.
Do they hold any sentimental value for you, maybe there might be a cheque enthusiast on ebay who'd like to buy them. From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!0 -

Back in 1935, Natwest hadn't yet been formed. So the cheque could have been from National Provincial Bank, Westminster Bank or District Bank.0 -
Wasn't 56 pounds, seven and eight pence in 1935 an absolute fortune? I wonder why it was never cashed............"You can measure a man's character by the choices he makes under pressure"Sir Winston Churchill0

It probably was ............ in those days you got all your paid cheques back from the Bank. They did normally have an endorsement on them .............. but some were missed as Clearing was not as automated as now.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
