MBNA - Default 5 years on 10 months left to pay!

Well, that document says the same thing applies to an arrangement to pay.Where such an ‘arrangement to pay’ breaks down, a default may be filed when the total value of the arrears is equivalent to three monthly payments under the original terms.
However, this should not result in the customer being placed in a worse position than someone who has made no effort to pay whatsoever.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

This is a very similar situation to my partners except he doesn't have any default on his file but faces A2P data showing for the next 6 years. A default would have dropped off by now.0

Hello, I am very interested in this thread because I am in a similar situation, I have started my own thread( don't know how to add it here you can click my username to find it) my situation is this I have hopefully just completed my last month of my DMP and decided to check my credit report. It all seemed correct and fair bar the dates two dates hsbc/ cl finance recorded them. I first defaulted and entered a DMP in early 2005 but the date on them is march 2007!!! Looks like this was the date cl finance took over the accounts. Very gutted, have contacted experian who said they will contact cl finance on my behalf and hopefully it will be spotted it is incorrect and rectified. Wel that's my wish anyway. And just for extra info hsbc never agreed to any reduced payments.
Anyway would like to keep an eye on you situation, would also like to hear other advice or stories similar to these thanks'If you ain't living life on the edge you are taking up too much room'

I'm afraid the Arrangement To Pay got slapped on me by MBNA for a complete period of 5 years up until my DMP paid off the debt in 2008. I've checked with CCCS and unfortunately there is nothing I can do about it...I am stuck with this until 2014! I would actually have been better off with a default notice when I first began my DMP. The A2P seems an even more harsh punishment than a default!
Interestingly enough, I was 3 years into a DMP (and had not missed any payment whatsoever) when Cahoot defaulted me without any notice. Again, stuck with this on my record until 2012. I did write to Cahoot but appear to have been ignored...ho hum. Very little point in complaining about that when the A2P makes me totally uncreditworthy for a long time yet....0
