staysure travel insurance

Anybody has used staysure travel insurance? It seems very competitive for pre-existing conditions. Thanks

BE VERY VERY CAREFUL !!

We recently took out holiday travel insurance and only when we had to cancel for medical reasons did it become apparent that we were not covered for cancellation cover as this was an additional option. I have never heard of a travel insurance that did not include cancellation cover but theirs did.

Not only that when we came to claim we were told to get a doctors certificate (at the cost of £23) only then to be told we were not covered for cancellation!!!!!!!!!!!!

It may be cheap but plays fast and loose with the small print and is the sort of company that brings holiday insurance companies into disrepute.

I had a good look at Staysure (Professional interest as I have just launched a travel insurance policy of my own) - I don't know anything about claims experience but I, too was surprised that cancellation cover was extra on the basic policy and that luggage cover was additional on the better policy (most travel insurance companies do the opposite i.e. include luggage/ cancellation and give discounts to remove them). It appears, as you say, that Staysure aim to quote the lowest price possible to suck you in and then charge quite a bit more to build up a decent policy.
