    You aren't far from the Monument - you can get up to the top of it. From there you can go over London Bridge to;
    Borough Market - good for a bite to eat apparently (the one day I went it was shut!)
    And london Dungeon is at london bridge, too

    You can go up Tower Bridge for about £4 ish. Walk along the top bit of the bridge (enclosed!!) and get some good views of London! ;)

    On the same side of the river as the tower you can find St Katherines Dock, which is nice to walk around and look at the expensive boats, The Dickens Inn Pub is there too and is good for either food or drink.

    Across Tower Bridge you can walk along the river and there is City Hall (Ken's offices) next to that is "the Scoop" which is like an open air amphitheatre that they sometimes have entertainment on in the evenings.

    Further along Just past HMS Belfast there is Hays Galleria with a couple of nice bars and a handful of shops.

    Walk through there towards Tooley Street and you are directly opposite the London Dungeon. Keep wallking along Tooley Street a little and you'll reach Borough High Street, behind which you will find Borough Market (fridays and Saturdays only) and Vinopolis.

    I hope that gives you a few ideas.

  • Hop on the Thames Clipper http://www.thamesclippers.com/home/ at St Katherine's Dock (where the Guoman Hotel is) and either go to Greenwich or The Embankment. The larger boats have a bar so you can even have a beer for the ride - which is a bit of a novelty.

    You can also go to the Design Museum http://www.designmuseum.org/ in Butlers wharf.

    If you like Sushi, the grange hotel's Koto restaurant http://www.grangehotels.com/grange_city_hotel/index.htm does unlimited sushi and miso after 17h00 for £15.

    Tower Hill is right close to Brick Lane if you fancy a bit of Bangla-town and curries http://www.visitbricklane.com/

    It's always worth stopping in Leadenhall Market to have a wander and a quick pint with the suits http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/Corporation/our_services/markets/leadenhall.htm (which is right by the Lloyds building)

    If the weather's nice, have a drink on the terrace of Coq d'Argent (in Bank) after browsing the posh shops in The Royal Exchange http://www.theroyalexchange.com/

    Have fun! :)

    There's loads to!

    Have a look at this map. Purple balloons marked with a black star denote tourist attractions in the vicinity.
