Asda receipt checker question?

Options
Hi

We have just had a new asda open near us and Im going to do a big shop in there tonight, I was just wondering if the money back thing they are advertising on tv at the moment includes other stores special offers or just the usual price.

Does anyone know?

Thanks.

I think up to 5 products have to be cheaper elsewhere before they will refund the difference.

Hope it's not as busy as it was earlier today! I just drove past, couldn't be bothered with the queue to get into the carpark.

I love this madness when new shops open.. happened when Primark arrived too.

In answer to your question, I believe it takes into account special offers but it only compares with Tesco, Sainsbury's and Ocado.

Hope that helps and hope you enjoyed your shop :-)

It does compare with Morrison's too. It's very selective how it chooses not to compare some items e.g. I bought leeks one week and it 'said' they weren't available in the other stores?? Probably because the pack wasn't the same size as other stores but it didn't to price per kg. It's not a way to make money I'm afraid!!

I'd love to know how it compares Morrisons prices, they don't have their prices online.

They probably get am employee to walk around the store kind of like a mystery shopper.

That's the only way I can think of doing it, but I wouldn't like to walk round a large Morrisons taking note of the price (plus other details) of every item they sell!

Not even sure if Morrisons would allow it? I once saw a woman thrown out of Iceland for writing down the prices of things.

Hi ya - thanks for the replies - didn't realise there were so many kettering people on here :)

I went in last night just after work so about 6pm - it wasn't busy!!! I was expecting it to be packed after hearing people say the town was blocked on monday with people trying to get in there.

There were a few dissapointing bits for me - no butchers in there only prepacked , no deli for cheese only pre packed but some nice bits also , I did think they might have some opening special offers on but there were none.

When I had finished I went straight to a check out with no wait which was fab!

I'm sure I will go again, just about to check my receipt now !

Oh with the prtrol I am pretty sure they are doing guarenteed lowest price :)
