Seller refunded payment - item 'not in stock'

Hi all,
I'm a bit annoyed and not sure what to do. I won a BNWT baby outfit in auction for 99p + P&P last weekend. I did notice at the time that the seller was selling the same items as 'buy it now' in their shop for £4.50 which I thought was a bit odd but I was pleased to get a bargain.
However, I have today had my payment (paypal) refunded with a note saying 'Very sorry but we don't have that size in stock'. I've looked at their shop and they don't have that item listed but get the feeling it may magically appear some time in the near future... maybe they expected it to go for more money and didn't want to sell it for 99p?
Anything I can do? It's riled me as I really wanted the item for my new baby but maybe I should just forget it?

I'd be inclined to email back and say you are happy to wait and you will watch their auction to see when the item is listed again.0

I'll certainly do that so they know I'm watching. They do have the next size up but listed at £4.50. I'd happily take that as babies grow so fast but they didn't offer any replacement - surprise surprise.0

I just hate people getting the better of you, don't you?
It'll do them good to know you're watching. They might think twice next time.0 -
Yep, it makes me
I've sold things for less then I would have wished for but have never not completed a transaction because of it.

Yes just ask her for the next size up.0

Very odd what the point of selling the item in the first place even though they refund your money. I be amaze if they even re-list the item next week for a higher price. If the price be lower or the same than before I rather not wait again - just a waist of your time and effot just to look at the right auction in the first place give them a bad feedback.....
