Firefox, bar at bottom showing address of links is missing

I wonder if someone might be kind enough to help.

I use Firefox 3.6.10 as my browser. Ordinally I have a grey bar along the bottom of the screen (just above my start bar). When I hover over a link on a webpage, in the far left of this grey bar I can see the address of the link.

This bar has dissapeared. When I do View / Toolbars all the bars are checked. Does anyone know how I can get this back?

Yes it is, but when I uncheck it and recheck it, nothing appears to change.

strange, wonder if there is a setting in about:config ???

can u try updating to 3.6.11. ??

Ah ha, I have unlocked my taskbar, and I can now see it hiding at the bottom. It is the status bar, and when I uncheck it it dissapears. I cannot drag it up though, anyone know how I move it up? And thanks so much busenbust!

if it's locked, then unlock: right-click and drag up. glad u got it sorted!
