Just got mine too, I was buying stuff for a halloween party. There's not much in there that would be any use to me. It WONT encourage me to spend there from now until xmas. Even £5 off a £50 shop every week would have been more appropriate.

I'm seriously thinking of sending it back to them telling them what I think, and saying Thankyou, but no thankyou!

Anyone else up for a bit of mischief??????

Anyone any idea where to send it?

I'm in the same boat - think it's rubbish so I'm planning to take mine back this Friday with a nice letter and hand deliver it to customer services in store. I'll address it personally to the store manager (I'm sure his name is on the receipts) and will send a copy to Asda HQ.

When I got mine on Saturday the SA didn't have any so had to get one from the next SA and what a fuss. They had to get a supervisor, verify my spend, remove them from SA2's till, all 3 then verified it was just one voucher, supervisor then gave SA2 some sort of paper voucher to replace in her till (presumably to allow her to balance them at a later point) and then finally after about a 5 minute wait I was presented (very ceremoniously) with my "free £40 off" voucher. I only wish I'd opened it straight away as I'd have given it straight back although with hindsight that may have been a bad idea as I'd probably have ranted at the poor SA as to how insulting I thought it was.

What a load of rubbish!! The way they touted this was that you'd be getting £40 of Asda vouchers - but looking on that link, there is nothing I would buy - even £1 off Kelloggs cereal wouldn't be a good saving as their own brand is cheaper, jeez how much would you actually need to SPEND in order to save the full £40 and use all the vouchers!!! This voucher scheme is just a terrible marketing ploy!

So basically it is buy one get one free at a later date.
No not at all...it isnt £40 off a future shop, its a booklet made up of money off coupons ranging from 50p to £2 off specific items...I think out of the £40's worth i will use the £1 off a magazine(good food mag,i buy anyway),and possibly £1 off easy carve pork joint(depending on original price),..so all in all,my £40 "Thankyou" from Asda is worth a maximum £2 to me

well its not so bad - I would have spent £40 anyways and will use some of the vouchers - in fact I used 1 last night on the steak mince and as I paid at the self serve checkout it didn't ask for my voucher so I shall use it again too!

If you are a teetotal, vegetarian, without a cat, then that £15 of vouchers you wouldn't use straight away!

I think the herbal essences is the £3+ bottle with the £1.50 off as its a 400ML bottle not a smaller one (I think, havent really been looking at the prices)

There will be 3 more books of vouchers still to come, new one every 2 weeks, so the next book will be valid from 15th Nov for 2 weeks. They might do some more/better offers with the others...

I spent £44 on the weekly food shop last week and was given the booklet. I also bought some booze and bedding which I put through separately so as not to distort the food budget. That was also just over £40 so they gave me another booklet.

There's not a lot in there that I would use but, as I worked late tonight, I slipped in the way home and bought the Extra Special lamb with roasted vegetables - £2.37 with the voucher. Very nice, with a decent portion of Lamb. Think I shall be popping back next week with my other voucher!

It says it is on the 1Kg packet. In our Asda there was no such size - 750g "big value" pack only - and no gap on shelf. Unsurprisingly the voucher didn't work. Useless. Shan't bother with next voucher book as hardly using any from this one.
