Making an MBNA payment over the phone?

Options
Hi,

Is there an automated phone service to pay your monthly payment on an MBNA credit card? (like you can with an Argos card for example - you don't have to speak to anyone).

I need to make a payment on my mums behalf as she has been suddenly taken into hospital and her MBNA credit card payment needs to be paid by tomorrow at the latest. She doesn't have online banking and I can't pop into a bank to pay it as by the time I have finished work they will be closed.

I've rang up and done a card payment before on the telephone. I believe I actually spoke to someone though. I rang about 6.30 but I think their lines are open until 8pm or so.

But will the OP get past security? Or will they allow him to make a payment without having to do this...?

Can you send via internet banking or by debit card on the MBNA site (assuming you can get your mother's log on details....) [Yes I know these probably aren't meant to be dislcosed!]

I fear it might be a bit late now, but hopefully in the circumstances MBNA may refund any late fees.
  • Yes you can pay mbna via there website once logged in or through bank transfer
