upset with asda

In june my partner bought some asda lowfat yogs and while eating one cut his mouth on a shard of glass, and then went to choke on it, I have three young children who also eat these and it was really lucky that it was my partner who came across it,
I rang my local asdas and the manager told me to bring it back and he would refund me, which i wasnt very happy about so i took the offending glass and lowfat yog to my enviromental health department and they investigated for me, turns out that the glass had came in with the strawberrys and wasnt detected while the yogurts were made at the yeo valley factory who make asdas lowfat range,
after the investigation had finished several emails and phonecalls were made to asda by the council and no one got back to them,
i contacted the officer in charge again to see what was happening on the 19th of this month he inturn rang them and asdas exscuse was that they didnt have any contact details for us , funny thing is that i have copys of the emails sent to asda and my contact details were in those emails,
well on saturday i got a letter and a £10 voucher to say sorry, I feel very insulted by this as i had no apology from yeo valley and asda said they are making sure it wont happen again so i rang and i complained this afternoon about the timescale, and lies adas have told the council, etc, its not about how much the gift card was its the fact that it could of been my child who ate this, and how insulted asda made us feel by trying to fob us off, also when they updated my details the officer inchange was put down as my partner ,

Am i making a fuss over nothing or would you be upset too

I would have been upset at the time, but I'd get over it pretty quickly.

How much compensation did you expect? You won't get compensated for what 'could have' happened.

Really - don't feel insulted. It's not personal. It's just down to incompetence.

it wasnt really about the compensation i just feel insulted and frustrated that it took them four months when infact asdas policy is 40 days, thing is im 33 weeks preg too i do blame it on my hormones sometimes x

I'd be upset but the end result probably would be the same as you got in the long run.

That's low fat !!!!!! for you. Glass was included on account of its low calorific value, being made, essentially, from dust. Eat full fat in future.
