'What is a fair state pension?' poll discussion

  • A Newspaper article last week (daily mail) reported that only those retiring after the 2015 date (date yet to be set) will go onto the new £140 state pension, and those retiring in the years before e.g. 2011,12,13,14 will get the state pension as it is at the moment.....
Therefore if you are due to retire e.g. 2014 the amount you will get for the rest of your life will be just over FORTY POUNDS PER WEEK LESS than if you were one year or more younger and could therefore retire during or after 2015. I see this as totally unfair and affects anyone presently retired or about to retire.
Anyone else think this is unfair?
