There have been a few top savings accounts launched as I've seen discussed on here too
Alliance & Leicester at 5.38% for over £5,000
The Icesave account a clean 5.2%
and some good fixed rates.
My updated savings account article will full details and analysis is now finished and will go on the site sometime this afternoon (if it doesn't mention the above products, then its not the updated one)

Thanks Martin. I also have mentioned these 2 new accounts yesterday. I have already applied for the Icesave account and just waiting for my user id and welcome pack and possibly will open A%L if I can stretch it.0

how reliable is icesave?0
-
I would suggest they are as safe as Heritable Bank as they have the same parent company Landsbanki of Iceland, and are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. I shall certainly be looking to open an account.Age & Treachery Will Always Overcome Youth & Enthusiasm !!

Do Icesave and Alliance and Leicester credit monthly interest to your accountTo be happy you need to make someone happy.0

With ICESAVE, interest can be paid monthly and either left to accrue or paid out to a nominated account.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0

Thanks to the heads-up from Report Investor, my account is up and running already.Bisoy wrote:I have already applied for the Icesave account and just waiting for my user id and welcome pack
