I was in Boots yesterday and of course a price was wrong.

The young man said I've worked for Boots for 3 years and most prices are wrong.

I thought well you don't have to tell me . I know.!
It's a pity they don't have the Tesco R&R policy.

Sorry if I'm in the wrong thread.
  • Had to stand my ground and speak with section manager . His argument was that the Gift Set was excluded as there was no 3 for 2 sticker on the shelf

Pointed out that the wording on 3 for 2 board made no mention of this requirement and that the offer complied with all the small print on the board.

He backed down and I got three sets for 19.98. Have to say you get a very good shave with it as well.

Think again this is another good example of the consumer gaining power against the big retailers.

Just been in the Boots at Liverpool Street Station (London) and got the Gillette Fusion Gift Pack for £7.24 instead of the labled £9.99 half price offer. Caused a bit of a panic amongst the staff as they stood there confused as to why the till was doing that. It's effectivly 3 for 2 on the gift packs and in the end I purchased 6 packs! What you get is 1 x Electric Fusion Razor + 4 of the `Electric' Blades + Shave Gel, all for £7.24!! (the blades alone are usually £9.99!!). This comes up on the till as gift pack 2 and is the orange bag type thing. The branch had loads of them on display BTW. Offer end 17th October.

I went over to the large out of town Boots in Swindon on Sunday specifically to get some of these.

The orange sets were 9.99 as described but located in the mens section. In the Christmas section were identical wash bag sets but with the colours the other way around, i.e orange zip with a blue bag. These blue sets are included in the 3 for 2 as the had a green parcel on the ticket, however these sets were 12.99 each.

Good deal still though so I picked 1 up for 9.99

I think these sets in the blue bag may be the manual razers rather than the power ones? I saw these blue sets in the Coop earlier today and they were also 12.99. Congratulations to everyone who has managed to bag this bargain!:j

Yes - I saw the blue bag offer. These are NOT the Fusion Power. They are on 3 for 2. Kind of confusion isn't it!!

I saw in my local Boots, these are really back up to £19.99 and not on 3 for 2 either.

Tried to get 3 for 2 yesterday and was told they were not in the offer after explaining that it was on a 3 for 2 shelf and it does not say that it is excluded from 3 for 2 on all mens toiletries, but the shop wouldn't budge. happy with one for £9.99 anyway.
  • on tuesday i went into our local boots and after a huge hunt managed to find them, they didnt go through the till at 3 for 2 so i got hubby to take them back, then for some reason a younger woman served him and they scanned at 19.99, got just under £60 back in gift voucher as hubby accidently forgot to show the reciept after they scanned them and the accidently forgot to tell them he paid a lower amount ooppss

Lol. Could be something to try on such future offers :D :T :T

If you think about it though £20 isn't such a bad price (but £10 is better). Razor = £9.99, blades = £9.99 and the shave gel is a few quid. I'm not impressed with the orange bag myself though and tempted to throw it lol.
