Not sure this is the right forum but here goes......
I work in the Public Sector and will be made redundant on March 31st. We are trying for our first baby and am not sure whether we should put this on hold. When I am made redundant and hopefully will be pregnant by this time, what Benefits if any will I be entitlted to? My Fiance earns £1220 per month after tax etc. He is sef employed - this make a difference? I am so confused and don't want to bring a child into this world if we cannot afford to give it all it needs. Will we be entitled to Housing benefit as we currently privately rent?
With nearly 1 million of us out of work by this time the chances of us all being reemployed are slim.....am i just really pessimistic?
