Recommendations for sites for "Wanted" ad

Does anyone have any ideas for sites to post a free wanted ad for a spare part? I've been searching on-line all weekend with no luck.

It's for a part for a 1996 Mercedes SL500 and the dealer price is scary!

I have done ebay want it now, gumtree, car & classic, classic car weekly.

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks.

  • Is it a part that you would buy second hand or new only.
If second hands acceptable, what about the online breakers or search for a mercedes breaker?

Thanks scotsman4th. I had already tried the 1st site and they don't have what I need. Just tried the second one - no luck either.

I would buy new or used but this part seems to be like hens' teeth :(

It's a headlamp wiper arm. I can find loads of wiper blades but no wiper arms (unless I am searching under the wrong thing).

Search the completed (and open) listings on EBay for folk selling anything off the appropriate cars and send them a message asking if they have the part you are looking for.

I got all the bits I needed via EBay but many weren't advertised.

Have you done some research to see if the same part was fitted to other models?

Something like this would normally be used across a number of models.

Me personally i'd get rid of those wipers completely.
