my laptop of 5 years is about to give up the ghost - there are so many problems with it im going to be needing a new one soon so hubby is going to buy me one for christmas.......he said to choose one for £400..........so i would like recommendations please.....
I use it mainly for doing surveys/using facebook/browser games/bingo - i do tend to have as many as 10 pages open at any one time doing all different things at once........
i would prefer 4gb ram - the one i have now is only a 1gb so imagine how much i could do with 4gb?
I dont like a metal front where i rest my arms as i tend to get shocks off them (used my daughters and hate it)....
Im not fussed about webcam but would like it if i can........the sounds not that important as i tend to use it on mute anyway.....
I would like 2 or more usb ports
Thanks so much....x

A suggestion - http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/product/680230/LENOVO-G550-NTDXAUK/tab/specification#spec
Was £299 last week with 5%off as well! May be a little bit cheaper at laskies.0 -
ive seen a dell advertised today in the mirror for £400 and its 4gb............are dells any good? its an inspiron - will have another look for the exact one...0

yep bought 3 of them 1 for me 1 for the wife and 1 for the father in law all bought from dell outlet and all working fine and dandy all came with 1 yrs warranty etc basically returned machines where people cant afford or return them for minor faults which are fixed and then sold on alot cheaper than normal dell so get alot of money return on one of these machines.
what about the following spec for £395.96 on following link but you do have to add £21.54 delivery on all systems
inspiron 1564 i3 processor
here is link for you to have a look for yourself maybe something you find better or what you need
dell outlet
or normal dell the £399 system (which saves £130 and shipping included on normal dell) the 4gb of ram & 500gb disc is not a bad deal the processor is a dual core 2.3ghz have a look
