Reliable fridge freezers

Following on from the Samsung thread.....................we are in the process of buying a new FF and from various review sites, loads of people don't have too many good words to say about them.

Does anyone have good things to say about any make they have bought in the last couple of years, pref. not American style ones?

Many thanks

I got a Samsung fridge freezer 2 years ago next month, and I love it! Had no problems at all, temp controls easy to use, plenty of room in both fridge and freezer, and not too noisy either. The model I got (not american style) is very similar to this model no RL38SCPS1XEU just the shelving on the fridge door is slightly different, and the colour of mine is graphite. There's only 3 drawers in the freezer, but they hold a lot more than you think, I've no complaints at all.

Well you lot aren't much help! I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed on the LG I plumped for.
  • I've been looking too, and finding a good one for under £300 seems a bit hit or miss according to reviews. LG are usually a good make (I've a simple LG fridge and it's been great for many years). This offer for a decent brand seems fairly good:

but it's not frost-free. Noise is my main consideration, so if you find one that's really quiet for under £300 please let me know!

We have an LG and so far it has been most excellent (if it breaks now i'm sending you the bill for asking). :D

The only niggle is that the fridge door has sagged ever so slightly (which doesn't impact anything other than i know it has done it).
