We have just got another rescue cat, now she will only lick the gravy off the cat meat, levaes all the meat, same with the jelly, she does eat her biscuits though, I have tried her with everything bought chicken, tuna, salmon you name it she just turns her nose up at everything, are biscuits enough do you think!

for a female - yes - but do feed her quality ones like Burns with maybe some raw meat from time to time.0

I tell you, when a pet food manufacturer finally makes 'cat gravy' in a little tetrapak, it'll make them a fortune!
Try her with pate-consistency food, no gravy to lick off there. And you could add a little hot water to make it a bit more soupy for her, also warming the food in this way does make it smellier and more appealing.0 -
Mine used to do this so I had to mash the lumps of food into the gravy to get them to eat, over time I mashed less and they kept eating until I no longer had to mash. Pests! Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0

My cat does this. She is 8 now and has never eaten the meat in cat food. She will only eat dry food and then only the flavours she likes. I spent a small fortune and lots of time and effort trying to get her to eat other things but she just isn't interested. I do give her a pack of meat in gravy everyday for her to lick the gravy off!0

quality dry is actually cheaper than any supermarket wet catfood - if sourced online & not free-fed. Just thought I'd mention it. As long as constant supply of fresh water it's fine.0

My darling rescue will only drink out of the bath tap, ( the sweetheart) ha haSam B0 -
I had a similar problem to this when my late cat was ill with CRF. What I did was add hot water to the cat food, so that it became more like a 'soup' and as she lapped through it she couldn't help but have some of the bigger pieces.
Anither way would be to try Hi Life Tuna Flakes (or own brand e.g. Morrison), but be warned it is addictive!!I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
Your cat will be fine on dry food as long as there is plentiful supply of fresh water.0

Not all cats can tolerate biscuits - I have to restrict one of mine as he will be sick if he eats too many (the last time it happened, the dog got to them before I could clear them up, nice!). The same thing happens with one of my mum's cats.0
