  • Thanks OP.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
  • I had an email from the store direct offering me the voucher, which came in a shirt time. The store staff had no idea what to do with it, they kept on going on about the 15% which us clearly for online and kept ne hanging around for 30 minutes, I got my £5 socks free but they made me feel like a thief. Not funny with a little kid waiting too.

No it was not, and I am still so unimpressed that I just phoned them ( at a premium cost ) to lodge my complaint about the staffs' lack of knowledge and the store manager's attitude. Hopefully others will a better experience.
  • Oh dear - I hate it when companies run promotions and the in-store stuff are clueless about it. And ESPECIALLY when the offer is a specific internet print-out thing and the staff accuse you of making photocopies!

    Which Debenhams store was it?
  • I just used the £5 voucher in store and got a free £5 thorntons box! :D
I asked the lady in the perfume section and she said you can use it in store with no minimum spend but it cannot be used on concession items.
I then asked a man in the kids department and he said there were no exceptions and they can be used throughout the store.

I then went to the general section where all the jelly beans, chocos etc were kept and the lady seemed a bit confused. She called another colleague who came and told me 'you can't just buy something worth £5 and get the product for free' and then I showed him the T&C's and they accepted it and I got a free box of chocos. :D Not sure if it was worth the 10 minute wait..but luckily there weren't many people in the queue.
  • Oh and thanks a lot OP! :D Much appreciated!

My partner and I both signed up for the voucher and we were able to use ours without any problems in the Milton Keynes store today (separately).
Thanks to all those who take the time :A and effort to post!!
