I have to say, I've been through a few pestle and mortars now, and I've finally got a big one. Unless they're made of something like granite and they're fairly big, I find they have limited use.

And as for the rest of you, grow up and stop jerking your knees. If you don't want to talk to someone, you don't have to "warn" other perfectly capable adults to to speak to him too. Yeah, it's a bit dodgy for my liking, but I can figure that out for myself. Act your ages, and stop being so petty.

I take that this post is directed at me? Can you tell me how I am petty please?

    Thanks :)

    Hi folks

Just got my voucher emailed through
but cannot see the barcode people are reffering to.?

I can see the 'Unique Voucher Code'

should there be a bar code with it?

Also has everyones voucher basically filled a side of A4, with the
T and C's at the bottom or am i doing something wrong?

    Cheers

The first few days of vouchers arrived with a barcode but after realising they had made a mistake and that they would not scan in store Debenhams changed it to a unique voucher code... either way they both are accepted

Both of my vouchers had a "Unique Voucher Code" with no bar code.

Above the picture that come's in the email, there is some small print and it says something like if you have problems viewing this email, click here.

I did this and it opened just the part you need with no T&C's etc, and printed it.

    Hope that help's

  • Hi all

New to this, but thought I'd join as I'm just so thrilled with this offer! Trouble is, I live just 3 mins from Debenhams and I have email addy that allows up to 100 disposable addresses - the temptation! I wouldn't dare, though......

Anyway, just some observations if you want to save embarrassment at tills. I've noticed that at 11am the whole staff changeover for tea break - not sure if that's standard or just local. But I went to three tills twice in 10 mins and each time was served by a different person. Also, the staff on Sat is different to Sun and both are different to weekdays.

I've got my bargains now, but nobody has mentioned venturing into the 'evening wear ' dept. It was there I got the jewellery - reduced from £25 - Buckingham boxed sets, down to £5. Worth a look?

  • I went shopping today with the kids and we used our vouchers in Debenhams Cardiff. DS (8) used one to buy a Ben de Lisi necklace reduced from £15 to £5 as it's my sister's birthday next week. The really nice SA asked him who he was buying it for and when he explained it was for his aunty's birthday, she went and got him one of this little drawstring net bags to keep it in, so that it looked nicer - I just thought it was such a nice thing to do, especially considering he wasn't paying anything for it!

I have to say that I am so impressed with the staff in Debenhams and the quality of the gifts available for around £5 that I will shop there again - even without a voucher!!!!

me too, eventually managed to print off my voucher today and used it against a couple of items. Should have cost £11.50 but paid only £6.50

Lovely range of gifts and will definitely be going back as said by above poster, with or without a voucher.

Well done Mr Debenham, you have bought yourself a customer :D

tried to get a box of baileys truffles but assistant said it was classed as 'food services', so got a lovely mug instead.

with both my vouchers i managed to spend nothing as both items were £5 exactly :)

The £1.50 Baileys truffles? Went through OK for me to "top up" a Kilner jar to a fiver.

Not sure about price/quality, but the staff customer services skills are good IMHO.
  • I love this find. Haven't visisted Debenhams so much in years. :j

Yep, although I'm probably unlikely to shop there in future, it has succeeded in getting me through the doors of a shop I'd never been in despite only working 5 mins walk from.
