There seem to be good bargains in all departments. Didn't need any, but I saw some really nice big Christy towels with 70% off, down to 6 pounds, so only 1 pound to pay. Also saw some pretty John Rocha boxed photo frames reduced to 6 pounds, so only a pound to pay. Would be great as a gift. Normal value is 20 pounds, so a real bargain.
If their purpose was to draw you into the shop, then it is certainly working as I intend to go in there lots more :j
can you tell me what size the christy towel for £6 was? tried looking online but the page kept jamming0 -
Used a couple of vouchers today, really straight forward. DD had a few problems, the first one was that some gloves she was buying at £6 had 20% off so it was under £5 so she had to get something to take her over £5, Chocolate wish 65p got that one sorted. "nd time she tried on a different floor in the store was to buy some Dorothy Perkins earrings, this time she was told you couldn't use it on DP products so it looks like they're a concession that aren't taking part in my store.I wouldn't be surprised if we hear of more and more concessions saying you can't use them on their products. I very much hope not though. I'm off to another town in the next few days so might pop in their debenhams to see if thy have any nice little bargains not sure if DD will want to try again though as she's quite shy - typical it was her that had the problems0

Looked online and I think it is the bath towel, so not the huge one, but still reasonably big. A bargain for a pound. If they had the stock, you could go in every day until you had a full set for the family! They had the brown spotty ones, red spotty ones and brown square pattern ones, as well as the Christy towel bales for 15 pounds. I didn't realise until later that there is a 20% off full-priced toys and homeware too.0

I think that all the brands that are owned by Debenhams themselves are fine, like Principles, John Rocha etc Yes, the 20% off is problematic. The saleslady told me that there are about 6 promotions on at the moment, all with different terms and conditions, and different ways of inputting the code. I think that's why some people are having problems. I think the one in the newspaper has a minimum spend of 25 pounds, and another cannot be used on sales goods. I think that how this is received is dependent on the training of the staff in these codes, and of course their own customer service attitude. I do feel sorry for people when it doesn't work, as they are less likely to want to try it again for fear of further embarrassment which is a shame as they haven't done anything wrong at all.0

Lots of stig things for Top Gear fans. Also, some Principles jewellery sets are 5 pounds.0

I'm sure DD will get over the embarassment HappyBH, she was uncomfortable but getting something for very little will help her cope with it. It's an amazing deal and it's great to see the items that everyone is buying0

It's about the only time that OH has actively encouraged me to go out shopping.0

The staff are morphing into Tesco staff with the exclusions they are coming up with today. Tried to get a warehouse necklace and a Wallis ring today and told by two different counter staff that all concessions excluded . They claimed they had a list of dept excluded . Wished I had asked to see it but wasn't brave enough. So apparently it is only stuff marked as Debenhams brand. It does seem a huge mess up they take forever keying it in. I bet they are regretting this .
From what I can gather, most of the stock in the store is Debenhams brand -- it's not only stuff that actually says "Debenhams" on the label. Which is what makes it harder for customers to determine what counts as "concessions". I tried to buy a Boulevard necklace with mine and was told it was concessions (I paid cash as it was 75% off anyway). From what others have said, it's sounding like a lot of the jewelry is concessions, might want to steer clear of that.
But I did get Lindts candy and other items -- none of which said Debeham's on the label. I think you just had the bad luck of picking one of the items that's not included, I think loads of things ARE included. Hope you find something you like!0 -
I got 2 Lindt stocking fillers - Choccy Santa with choccy reindeer - £2.80 each so only paid 60p.0
