I just tried one of my vouchers from a cancelled gmail account, just to see if it would work. It didn't, so I made my excuses, and left. I know that for some of you it did work, but for some reason, it didn't work for me. Didn't want to try another one, so left quickly. Alas, it looks like the end of the Debenhams Voucher Shopping Road for me. It's been great while it lasted, and I have got lots of bits and bobs for the kids' stockings and even some clothes for them, so very happy with my lot. Thank you to the fabulous OP for sharing, and to the other posters for their tips and helpful advice. Roll on the next fab glitch!0

I used five of my twenty one vouchers:
Lovely pair of fairisle gloves: £13.50 - £5 = £8.50
Jamie Oliver mug for my dad for Christmas: £9 - £5 = £4
Chopping board (very heavy!): £9 - £5 = £4
Socks: £7 -£5 = £2
Two white hand towels: £6 - £5 = £1
So Debenhams still got some money out of me! I gave four to a friend, who got some makeup, a kid's toy, some chocolate and a candle holder and paid in all about £2 for all of them.
We went out for drinks afterwards and I randomly gave two away to someone in a bar, who then bought us a drink (I thought that was a fair exchange!).
So, I still have ten left, plus one text. I am planning on going back again later today if my hangover goes, it's the first time I've ever done anything like this and it's very addictive, thought it was great fun trying to find a till we hadn't already been to. I know I said I was only going yesterday only, but I am going to make time to go today, I genuinely can't go Thurs and Fri as I'm in work doing 12 hours shifts both days so if I have any left I will post on here.0 -
iblametheparents- Were these the vouchers from your cancelled gmail account? Had you got the extra ones from using the dot method, or '+'. I just had one of mine refused. It was from an account, which I had got an email from them saying they were cancelling, but I had used both dots and + to get them. Was that the same for you?0
-
I just used the dots and all have worked so far, I never received a cancellation email.0
-
Ah, that must have been it. I think the + method were the ones that got the cancellation email. That's why yours worked without any problems then. Sounds like you had a good day shopping. Whilst fun, it can be a headache trying to work out which till to use. Someone else on here said that a lot of the staff change over at 11am for their break, so I guess you could go to the till just before and just after.0
