Amazon seller account problems - should I be worried?

Hi guys
Not Ebay but Amazon I'm having problems with today! I posted a while back about a NPB on a laptop I sold on Ebay - my 2nd chance offer wasn't taken up on so I decided to list it on Amazon marketplace in the meantime and see if I had any takers.
So today I got asked questions by a prospective buyer, which I answered and got a reply saying they'd probably be buying it soon. I came back home tonight to 3 emails from Amazon:
1. They say I have 2 seller accounts which isn't allowed
2. My account is under review and all funds will be held until it is complete.
3. Item sold - dispatch now
I'm assuming that 2 is related to me selling a high value item (over £500) when I usually only sell used textbooks?
1 is more of a worry, as I only have the one account so I don't know why they've sent me this?
I've sent Amazon a message through their online system, but in the meantime I was wondering if this had happened to anyone else? I'd also like some reassurance that I'm safe to dispatch the laptop to the buyer and that I will get my money at some point soon!!

No way would I send off the laptop until Amazon confirmed they were going to release the money. Until you send the laptop its the customers problem and they will get complaints from both parties, once you send it off its your problem alone.0 -
Does the laptop show as sold in your sold page? If not then the email is a scam.
Do not rely on emails, what exactly is your acoount showing? Get in touch with seller central today for sellers (they keep very short hours so check your times carefully). If any of this is genuinely from Amazon and the laptop has sold then not sending it will almost certainly get you suspended as of course we have strict guideliens and requirements about posting times.
However, talk to them first and also check your Amazon account before you do anything.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Looks like the sale is legit - it is showing as sold on my account. After speaking to support at Amazon my suspicions were correct, they've placed my account under review because for years I've been selling my used textbooks and now I've listed and very quickly sold an expensive item. Apparently they'll hold my funds for a maximum of 30 days. Sigh.
As to the 2 accounts thing, the person said I've become linked with another account someow. She asked who lived with me, did my family etc have selling accounts... All of these answers are no, and obviously they aren't allowed to tell me who they think I'm linked to! So she told me to send an email to the review team answering a few questions, and hopefully it'll all be resolved ASAP.
She also told me it's safe to dispatch the laptop, so I'll arrange a courrier pick-up for tmrw and hopefully it won't be too long til I get my money through!0 -

Nice for Amazon, they advertise the benefits of selling your stuff through their market place, when you actually sell something where you can actually make some money, they charge you commission then hold your money for 30 days. Thats some serious interest if you extrapolate it across the system.
I sold some textbooks on their once, it was more trouble than it was worth. At least with Ebay you get your money straight away.0 -

In the sake of fairness it is worth noting that smaller sellers, or people selling laptops which is out of a uaual selling pattern on ebay would be subject to a 21 day hold there as well.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
