Selling my house on the internet

Hi Guys

I have had my house on the market for 6 months via an estate agent, and they aren't doing a good job. I want to sell via the internet, but am unsure o the best website to go with. Any recommendations, tips, experiences?

There's post about this on this board from yesterday. Look down a few pages. Called something like sell your house for £500. Not sure if it's one of the cases where it's the site owner posting claiming to be a customer!

Certainly made me think about doing this, as the one recommended advertises on rightmove. It seems Fred Bloggs who puts up a house selling website can't list on rightmove, but if Fred Bloggs Estate Agent decides to do the same they can. Costs about £500 inc VAT on the one recommended in the post, £200 or so of which is payable upfront. Just can't remember the actual link...

i have used https://www.housenetwork.co.uk. They advertise on rightmove and findaproperty and max cost is £500. My property was listed on a friday and had 5 viewing sbooked by Monday and offer accepted Monday. Not completed yet but I am recommending my mum to go via them....

That's the one i was on about, i think.

I had a look last night, and was impressed by how professional they sound. They do seem to visit your home to do photos and floor plans, which surprised me - i thought i'd have to do that myself if i wanted it done. Although that might be illegal (?) like estate agents "photoshopping" their photos is.

I am trying to convince my wife that we should tyr them first, then pay £x000 for a "proper" EA afterwards if it doesn't work. No luck so far!

Not sure how they do it for £500 inc a home visit though. What's the standard of service like (apart from the example above where it seems very quick and easy, but no mention of what customer service was like)?

The process is: you pay 233 upfront to book the photos etc. The guy cme and spent around half an hour taking measurements and took over 20 pics. We had around 20 pics that we chose from all of the ones he took, 3 virtual tours and a floor plan of a 2 bed flat. We have ended up selling to a BTL investor who lives in spain so hasn't even seen the property herself, her friend has but there were so many pictures that you get a really good idea. The customer service seems pretty similar to a normal EA once you are listed, ie they call you to book viewings in and then that is confirmed along with feedback on your personal login on their site. Our situation was that we had 3 wks to find a buyer as had had an offer accepted pending us agreeing a sale. The EAs that we were buying from were not keen with us only being with HN but were pleasantly surprised when we got a sale a wk after viewing....

I paid online on Sunday, on monday they called with a photo appt for Tues..... I would say you haven't got anything to lose! You even can earn £35 through quidco for doing it!!
