Worth putting grant in Saving's account?

I'm living at home, currently, so I don't need all of the grant & loan that I've taken out. Would it be worth making a saving's account and putting in maybe £600 for now, then £900 at the start of semesters 2 & 3? The interest wouldn't be much more, so is it really worth it?
Especially since I'm considering going into accommodation next year so I was thinking saving up as much as I can to help then would be useful?
