I recieved an email today claiming I havent paid for my item yet. When I checked what the item was. It was a US xbox360. I'm quite sure I never bid for for an xbox 360 before.

Check your 'my messages' on ebay. If it's not there then chances are it is spoof.0

almost certain to be a spoof
i forward all such to spoof at ebay
seriously think about using thunderbird email client and add the mail identification extension, very helpful. most of the spoofs i receive are form outlook express users. LOL.
and if you hover your mouse over the hyperlinks, you should see the address is false. never click them!! they can execute malicious code too0 -
Winning bidder: nousa43 - nousa43 is from the USA so if this isnt you, who is the winning bidder, ignore it. If nousa43 is you then you HAVE actually won the auction so your account could have been hijiacked.Never do things tomorow when you can do them today.0

'Dear eBay member' that gives it away as being a spoof. Both eBay and PayPal use your registered name when sending you emails.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Plus, why on earth would a payment reminder come from the "trust and safety department"?razorbladekisses wrote:'Dear eBay member' that gives it away as being a spoof. Both eBay and PayPal use your registered name when sending you emails.0 -
Do Not Click On Any Links In The Email!!0

This is just a 'phishing' email. Spammers send these out hoping you'll enter your eBay account details and they can steal money from you that way. Don't respond to it and delete it or forward to eBay and don't worry about it any more.0

Do not click on a link in the email. It's a spoof and as soon as you do that they will have all your details and take over your ebay account. Always log into ebay to read your messages. Anything that isn't there is a spoof.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

How do they get all your details if you just click on a link?
I can understand it if it takes you to a false login page and you type in your details.Charlie0 -
when you type your user name and password it sends it to them not ebays server then it redirects you to ebays signin page
I always click on the link and type abuse in the user name and password box
:D If it doesn't fit, force it; if it breaks, it needed replacement anywaySarcasm helps keep you from telling people what you really think of them
